This year, LUIZA is again co-organizing MLSS@UNIZA! This time around, we are running it in a new format – with a 2-day face-to-face part (which took place 5th – 6th Sept.) and an extended blended part that runs until the Nov. 30th.
This new format is supported by several educational projects that our members are involved in:
- Development project 002ZU-2-1-2021 “Hybrid Education in the Area of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Cybernetics at UNIZA”;
- KEGA 008ŽU-4/2021 “Integrated Teaching for Artificial Intelligence Methods at the University of Žilina”;
- Erasmus+ project Teach4Edu;
This allowed us to create a full 2-university-course-worth of educational material that the students, assisted by tutors, can select from, forming their own custom-tailored curriculum.
The content combines video lectures and reading material with practical exercises, team projects, face-to-face sessions and office hours to provide a well-rounded educational experience. We hope that it will help the participants gain the essential background in AI and machine learning and build up practical skills usable in their particular domain of interest.
